International Tools Limited (ITL) was founded in 1987 in Apapa-Lagos (Nigeria) by three men, namely: Mr. W. SCHOMMERS, Mr. E. BADIRU and Mr. M. BETIKU, as an Engineering Services providing Company in Nigeria, by distributing of high-quality Engineering Tooling to all Sectors of Nigerian Economy. ITL moved to its present location (see the map herein on left page) in 1995 and office complex with showroom and related to it warehouse complex was established, alongside with quite large Electro-Mechanical Workshop, where the latter has become one of the leading workshops in Electro-Mechanical Services Trade in Nigeria in particular and within West African Region in general.

ITL was taken over by the Lagos- based German-Nigerian Joint Venture, an Electro-Mechanical Repairs and -Services providing Company, Rewinding and Technical Services Limited, (established in 1989 by Engr. A. GROTE, where the present Managing Director of the !TL, Arch. I. SAMUSENKO joined him in 2003, as then Managing Director of RTS), in 2015 and this above latter merger has created a highly experienced Engineering Services Providing Enterprise, especially on the field of Electro-Mechanical Engineering, while the distribution of high-quality Engineering Tooling from European Union-based manufacturers is continuously progressing as well. Two merged enterprises are now working as one and are presently trading under the name of International Tools Limited.

In 2022, ITL embarked on an important project — upgrading its facilities (especially the Electro-Mechanical Repairs- and Services providing workshop and showroom in head office ) to the new level for to meet the ever-growing demand on Nigerian Markets — the project will be completed in the beginning of 2024.
