Electrical Rewinding

SCOPE OF WORK IN REWINDING JOBS INCLUDES

This Scope of Work covers Standard and flame proof motors – Exd, Exn, Exe, Exde. The General Scope of Work includes the following:

  • Motors to be disassembled and inspected for internal damage caused by corrosion, wear and tear..
  • Remove and replace DE and NDE bearings with new ones.
  • Check for corrosion and derost it.
  • Check the shaft slingers and repair where necessary to preclude future shaft and bearing leakage.
  • Check drainage in the end plate to drain water that would otherwise collect around the shaft and bearings.
  • Rewind Motor where necessary to required standards.
  • Confirm integrity of terminal box sealing gaskets, replacing as required.
  • Performs mechanical and electrical testing to confirm machines perform “as-new” and are not damaged by prior water ingress (including space heater, auxiliary device testing and 1hour unloaded run).
  • Repair/replace any other electrical/mechanical faults found during repair/retrofit or testing (re-testing as required).
  • Touch-up paint finish, or repaint to bring motor exterior surface back to “as-new” condition
  • Furnish test certificates to confirm the final results
